ChainCatcher message, according to a report by The New York Times, on the night Argentine President Milei went live with LIBRA on February 14, 2025, he had seven phone call records with the project-related entrepreneur Mauricio Novelli, with the time window covering before and after he published promotional posts on X.

The report says the newly discovered mobile forensics information also includes alleged payment audio recordings and drafted funding arrangement documents, further intensifying outside scrutiny of Milei’s earlier claim that he has “no connection to the project.” Milei has not yet been formally indicted, but he has been listed as a key subject of the investigation.
