Bitcoin without the Internet... A new experiment transmitting transactions and data via radio waves... What's the story?
A developer named Bala presented an impressive demonstration at the BOSS summit, showing the ability to send a Bitcoin transaction completely without using the Internet.
Instead of Wi-Fi or mobile data, he used Meshtastic technology, which relies on (Mesh Radio) radio networks to transmit data between devices.
Through this technology, a Bitcoin transaction was broadcast via radio waves alone, eventually reaching the Bitcoin network and being recorded.
The simple idea is to bypass the traditional Internet layer and deliver the transaction to what is known as the (Mempool), the place where transactions wait before being confirmed on the network.
This kind of innovation reflects one of Bitcoin's main goals: to be a decentralized financial network that can be used even in the toughest conditions, without relying on traditional infrastructure.
