A-shares midday review: Shanghai Composite Index drops 0.93%, falls below 3,900 points, over 4,700 stocks decline! Coal and electricity stocks lead the declines.

Gelonghui April 3|China A-share’s three major indices fell collectively in the morning session. By the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.93% to 3,882.69 points, the Shenzhen Component Index was down 0.73%, the ChiNext Index was down 0.21%, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 was down 1.4%. The total trading value across the entire market was 117.8B yuan, down 1,178 billion yuan from the previous trading day, with more than 4,700 stocks declining. On the trading board, lithography machines, CPO, and communications equipment sectors rose against the trend, while coal, breeding, and power sectors led the declines. (Gelonghui)
