JiaYu Capital Wei Zhe: In about ten years, humans will work less than 4 days a week.

Topic: The Second New Hu Business Quality Development Conference

The Fifth Second Members’ Representative Conference of the Shanghai New Hu Business Association and the Second New Hu Business Quality Development Conference were held in Shanghai on March 29. Wei Zhe, Founder and Managing Partner of Jiayu Capital and its Chairman, attended and delivered a speech.

Wei Zhe pointed out that the deciding factor in the success of AI development lies in whether it is “affordable.” He believes that China’s core strategy for AI development should not blindly copy the U.S.’s “big moves and high stakes,” but should leverage China’s strengths.

He mentioned that last year DeepSeek’s “shockwave” proved that “affordability” is key to AI. China needs “domestic replacement solutions” rather than simply “domestic replacement.”

In his speech, Wei Zhe put forward three bold predictions for the future: 1. In about three years, the number of apps on smartphones will be cut in half, and most functions will be taken over by agents. 2. In about ten years, human working hours will be reduced to less than 4 days per week. 3. AI will bring disruptive changes to the healthcare sector; although legislation may lag, technology will break through first.
