Iranian Foreign Minister: Over 600 schools in Iran have been damaged to varying degrees

Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on the 27th that since the United States and Israel launched military action against Iran, more than 600 schools in Iran have been destroyed or damaged, with over 1,000 teachers and students killed or injured. The attack on an elementary school in Minab, a city in southern Iran, was a “well-planned attack,” resulting in the deaths of more than 175 teachers and students. In a video address delivered the same day at an emergency meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council held in Geneva, Amir-Abdollahian said that the U.S. and Israel have launched attacks in various places across Iran, and that Iran is suffering an “illegal war imposed” by the United States and Israel. The act of attacking the school in Minab is “outrageous,” and could not have been a mistake. Attacking schools constitutes “war crimes” and “crimes against humanity.” (CCTV News)
