Gold fluctuates and recovers, hitting three consecutive gains. Bosera Gold ETF rises over 1%.

On the news front, on Mar 30, the U.S.-Iran conflict entered its 31st day. Both sides continued to grind between negotiations and confrontation. Affected by statements from the White House and Powell, market concerns that the Federal Reserve would raise interest rates to respond to oil price shocks eased. Brent crude prices plunged intraday, and gold prices showed a volatile rebound after first dipping. As of the close, COMEX gold futures rose 0.36% to 4,540.40 USD per ounce.
According to Huatai Securities, although gold faces short-term pressure, it still expects gold to remain attractive on the medium- and long-term safe-haven logic. In the short term, gold’s price action will be highly dependent on the duration of the Strait of Hormuz blockade and the progress of global liquidity recovery. Looking at the medium and long term, de-dollarization and fiscal non-sustainability will still support gold’s allocation value. Gold’s pricing logic will shift toward hedging credit risk and reallocating assets.
Regarding capital inflows, Bosera’s gold ETF saw a latest net inflow of 76.5539 million yuan. Looking over a longer period, within the past 21 trading days, net inflows occurred in 17 days, totaling “absorbed inflows” of 1.26B yuan, with average daily net inflows of 60.1297 million yuan.
