(MENAFN) Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry on Wednesday refuted reports suggesting that the country has been excluded from the European Union’s Horizon Europe program, stating that the process is still ongoing.

Officials noted that discussions on the EU regulation draft for the 2028–2034 period are continuing within both the European Parliament and the EU Council.

They clarified that certain proposals under consideration in the European Parliament pertain only to participation in specific components of the program and do not affect Türkiye’s overall eligibility.

The ministry emphasized that the final decision will be determined through negotiations between EU institutions, and that Türkiye is actively monitoring developments and taking the necessary steps to safeguard its participation.
