Wine Price Insider March 31 Price Release: Premium Moutai Up by 1 Yuan
Sina Finance’s “Liquor Price Insider” launches in a big way—real market prices of well-known baijiu brands are all under control
According to data collected in the past 24 hours by Sina Finance’s “Liquor Price Insider,” the average terminal retail price of major baijiu products in the Chinese baijiu market overall saw a slight pullback on March 31. If each of the major products is sold as a single bottle, bundled and purchased as a set, today’s total selling price is 9,928 yuan, down 2 yuan from yesterday. The overall market performance is on the weak side. The sharp rise of high-end products such as Feitian Maotai coexists with the decline of mid- to lower-tier products, and the market is still in a weak balance consolidation stage.
Today’s baijiu market is mixed, with 11 major products showing five gains, five declines, and one flat. On the rise: Feitian Maotai leads the gains, up 10 yuan per bottle month over month, hitting a new high in half a month. This increase is related to the price-adjustment policy just released by Guizhou Maotai on March 30; Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ is up 3 yuan per bottle; Qinghua Lang is up 2 yuan per bottle; premium Maotai and Crystal Jiananpring (Jianan Spring) are both up by 1 yuan per bottle. On the decline: Guojiao 1573 leads the drops, down 7 yuan per bottle, falling again below the 900-yuan threshold; Xi Jiu Junpin is down 6 yuan per bottle; Qinghua Fen 20 is down 4 yuan per bottle; Gujinggong Gu 20 and Wuliangye Pu Wu (Pu Wu) 8th Edition are both down slightly by 1 yuan per bottle. The price of Wuliangye 1618 remains unchanged month over month.
The daily data source for “Liquor Price Insider” comes from about 200 collection points across major regions of the country with reasonable distribution, including but not limited to distributors designated by liquor enterprises, social distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The original sampled data is the real deal terminal retail price at each point over the past 24 hours, and aims to provide all parties with an objective, scientific, and fully traceable set of data about the market prices of well-known baijiu brands. With the official iMaotai platform starting to sell Feitian Maotai at 1,499 yuan per bottle (raised in the early hours of the 31st to 1,539 yuan per bottle) on New Year’s Day, and premium Maotai at 2,299 yuan per bottle going on sale on January 9, this new channel’s magnetic pull effect on the average terminal retail prices of the two products has become gradually visible. “Liquor Price Insider”’s daily published liquor prices follow a calculation rule weighted by actual成交 volume. We have already introduced the quantifiable prices into the terminal retail price calculations for these two liquors.
