Iran claims to have used a new air defense system to shoot down a U.S. fighter jet

People’s Finance and News, April 4—Local time on the 4th, Iran’s Headquarters of the Commander-in-Chief of Hatem Anbia spokesman Ibrahim Zolfaqari said that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force’s brand-new air defense system shot down a U.S. fifth-generation F-35 fighter jet, three MQ-9s and “Hermes” drones, as well as two cruise missiles. In addition, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps’ ground forces used existing weapons to strike an A-10 attack aircraft and two “Black Hawk” helicopters. Meanwhile, Iran’s armed forces air defense units also successfully hit an A-10 attack aircraft. Zolfaqari said, “This Friday (April 3) should be called Black Friday of the United States and Israel.” He also said, “The enemy should understand that what we rely on is a new kind of air defense system—these systems are continuously taking the stage in real combat. Iran will surely fully take control of Iran’s skies.” (CCTV News)
