Some statistics I find interesting.
1. Capital flows from institutions via ETFs
- Bitcoin Spot ETF (US): In March 2026, it recorded a +$1.32B net inflow — this is the first month with inflow positive since October 2025, ending a 4-month streak of consecutive outflows (total outflow ~$6.4B from October 2025 to March 2026 ). BlackRock IBIT is leading strongly. However, in Q1/2026 there are still net outflows ~$500M overall. AUM is currently ~$87–90B (accounting for ~6% of circulating supply #BTC).
- The last week of March: Capital exited digital assets -$414M ( for the first time after 5 weeks of inflows) — mainly because the US (-$445M), with the given reason being concerns about Iran + a hawkish Fed.
- ETH ETF: Nearly no change.
- The ETF activity in March is a signal of mild capital inflows, but the capital outflow from the most recent week shows that capital is still probing rather than distributing for the long term. This is why BTC consolidates around $66k–$68k and hasn’t broken out of the $60k–$70k range.
2. A clearly defined defensive rotation strategy
- Capital inflow into BTC/ETH exchanges is still high → selling pressure from long-term holders.
- Corporates: The strategy (MicroStrategy) continues to buy steadily → corporate capital is becoming more concentrated, not as widespread as in 2025.
- Spot demand is absorbing some selling pressure, but volume is low → lacking conviction.
- However, capital is flowing #stablecoin: +$6,2 tỷ USD → Không phải thoát khỏi #into crypto entirely, not rotating to riskier assets, but rotating defensively into lower-risk assets (linked to the U.S. dollar )within the ecosystem. This is a classic sign of a fear phase, but with confidence still unbroken.
3. Capital flowing into stablecoins
- #USDC dẫn đầu tăng trưởng năm 2026: +$4,5 tỷ nguồn cung ròng (YTD đến hết tháng 3), trong khi #USDT -~$2B. → #USDC (nặng về tuân thủ, yêu thích tổ chức) đang hút vốn “tiền thông minh” mạnh hơn #USDT (in the retail/emerging markets ).
- Total supply #stablecoin >$310B (đầu năm 2026), tiếp tục đúc tiền lớn (ví dụ 250 triệu #USDC recently once again peaked).
- Bullish divergence: ETF outflows + on-chain outflows, but stable minting remains positive → the money is waiting on the sidelines, ready to rotate back into risk when #fud shows up.
- The growth of #Stablecoin during a downturn/defensive phase is often ahead of a major pump.
