Nous Research has released version 0.7.0 of the Hermes Agent framework, enhancing resilience, stealth, and context management capabilities. The memory system has been redesigned into a scalable plugin system, allowing users to replace or customize backends, with six third-party backends built-in for selection.

ME News message, April 4 (UTC+8), Nous Research recently released a major update to its open-source agent framework Hermes Agent, version 0.7.0. This update focuses on strengthening the framework’s resilience, stealth, and long-context management capabilities, with the goal of moving toward production-grade reliability. The core change is that the memory system has now been rebuilt into a scalable plugin system, allowing users to replace any backend or build a custom backend. The memory backend built into the framework works out of the box, and there are already memory backends from six third-party providers available to choose from. Users can select and configure the required backend by running the command ‘hermes memory setup’. (Source: InFoQ)
