CryptoWorld reports that Wu's Blockchain tweeted: The Google Quantum AI team warns that future quantum computers may be able to derive private keys from Bitcoin public keys within approximately 9 minutes, exploiting the time gap before transaction confirmation to hijack unconfirmed transactions. Bitcoin's elliptic curve signatures are vulnerable to such attacks, and the Taproot upgrade's default public key disclosure has expanded the exposure. Currently, about 6.9 million early Bitcoin on the chain face long-term threats.
