The United States plans to create a record-breaking $1.5 trillion defense budget and expects real GDP growth of 3.1% in the fiscal year 2027.
ME News message, April 3 (UTC+8), according to Jinzhi Data, the Trump budget proposal is expected to deliver actual GDP growth of 3.1% in fiscal year 2027. The Trump budget proposal is expected to collect $464 billion in tariff revenue in fiscal year 2027. , US President Donald Trump released an overview of the FY2027 budget proposal, planning to request $1.5 trillion in defense spending, including about $1.1 trillion allocated to the Department of Defense and $350 billion for critical ammunition procurement and expansion of the defense industrial base. The White House said it will cut $73 billion in non-defense spending under a “strict adherence to the total spending red line,” covering areas such as education and environmental protection. More detailed budget documents will be released later. The proposal includes expanding power generation for ammunition capacity, procuring 34 vessels (including a new battleship and new type of frigate named after Trump), providing funding for the “Golden Dome” missile defense system, among other items. The related content must be reviewed and passed into law by the Congress controlled by the Republicans before the start of the new fiscal year. (Source: PANews)
