The Qingming Festival overlaps with Hong Kong public holidays; passenger flow at the Shenzhen port during the Qingming Festival is expected to reach a historical peak.

**Guandian News: **On April 3, according to a forecast by the Shenzhen Border Inspection Station, during the Qingming Festival holiday period, the Shenzhen–Hong Kong border crossings are expected to see a peak in passenger flow. The estimated average daily passenger volume during the holiday period will reach 990k person-trips, with the peak occurring on April 3 and 4. It is hoped to exceed the historical peak passenger flow; the single-day peak may exceed 1.13 million person-trips.

According to the introduction, this year’s Qingming Festival holiday overlaps with Hong Kong public holidays. The mainland Qingming holiday is from April 4 to April 6, and Hong Kong public holidays are from April 3 to April 7. Affected by multiple factors such as returning home to pay respects to ancestors and offer prayers, visiting relatives and friends, and outings for springtime sightseeing, the large passenger flow at the Shenzhen–Hong Kong border crossings is mainly concentrated at the Luohu, Futian, Shenzhen Bay, and Liantang ports, as well as the West Kowloon station port served by the Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong high-speed rail.
