Zhang Jun said that representatives attending the conference engaged in in-depth dialogue and exchanges based on major challenges and urgent issues facing Asia and the world today. The annual conference is rooted in Asia and committed to enhancing the level of regional integration, building strong support for promoting shared development of Asia and the world. Participants said that multilateralism and economic globalization are still the right approach for countries to jointly address global challenges. We must firmly advance the process of free trade, work toward building an open world economy, and improve global economic governance. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Boao Forum for Asia. “The Forum will take the 25th anniversary as a new starting point, stay true to its founding mission, keep pace with the times, uphold openness and inclusiveness, highlight Asian characteristics, broaden global perspectives, strengthen cooperation for mutual benefit, and make greater contributions to the shared development of Asia and the world,” Zhang Jun said.
