Lately I've been thinking about a question: how should an ordinary person live their life? To be honest, the brutal reality boils down to one word: making money.

When you open your eyes, the world is asking you: do you have money? Hospitals won't treat you for free just because you're a good person, but the rich, no matter how bad they are, can still live well. That’s the reality.

I see too many people dispersing their energy into all kinds of areas—love, family, connections—but what’s the result? Nothing. Because they haven't solved the problem of making money. You'll find that most of the pain and worries are ultimately caused by a lack of money. Without money, you'll see the ugliest side of human nature. Your kindness won't earn respect; it only invites doubt and criticism. Others will find all kinds of flaws in you, questioning why you're so unsuccessful.

This is the game rule of a money-driven society. As long as you know how to make money, you are on a different level in society. The wealthy can indulge freely, exert influence, while the poor are arranged and controlled everywhere. If you don't create value or make money, others will automatically categorize you as "trash." Without independent earning ability, you can only rely on others and live according to their expectations.

Once a person is poor, their ambition diminishes, and their mindset shrinks. To keep a job, you're always thinking about how to satisfy your boss. Freedom and independence? For most people, those are luxuries.

But here’s a problem. Many people have a strong sense of morality, always feeling that certain things can't be done, or shouldn't be done. Let them try to make money, and it’s like peeling off a layer of their skin. They find all kinds of excuses to avoid it, drowning in negative emotions they can't escape. Pride is the biggest obstacle. Successful people don’t care about how well they perform; they only care about how to get things done. The so-called “no shame” attitude is another way of saying “selflessness,” which is a very high level of life.

I’ve found that most people who can make money are not exactly “good people.” But these “tough characters” gradually build their careers, provide a good life for themselves and their families, and have friends everywhere. Their brains, emotional intelligence, and resilience are not something ordinary people can compare to. Those who can’t make money, no matter how diligent or smart they seem, are basically paper tigers upon closer inspection.

Making money is actually the best form of cultivation. True relaxation comes from overcoming past tension and high intensity. Those shining days are the result of repeatedly challenging oneself. Doing nothing only brings pain; focusing on one thing can bring genuine happiness.

Once you've experienced the taste of making money, you can never go back to a passive, waiting, and arranged life. Putting all your energy into making money will truly eliminate worries and confusion. Doing too many things unrelated to earning money only brings endless troubles. Ignoring the importance of making money will only leave you at the mercy of life.
