In the next one or two hours, some areas in Hong Kong are expected to experience heavier rain and several squally thunderstorms.

The observatory issued a special weather alert. A low-pressure trough is affecting the area around the Pearl River Estuary, and thunderstorm activity is expected to continue developing. Over the next one to two hours, rain will be heavier in some areas, along with a few bouts of strong wind and thunderstorms. The public is urged to watch for changes in the weather.
