Iranian Foreign Minister and Turkish Foreign Minister hold a call: will respond to the U.S. with “the strongest force”
According to CCTV News, on May 5, the Iranian side said that Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi and Turkey’s Foreign Minister Fidan spoke by phone on the same day, emphasizing that Iran will “respond with the strongest possible force” to the United States and Israel. The report says that during the call, Araghchi also said that Iran’s strikes on U.S.-Israeli military bases in the region are in accordance with international law. The report also says that on April 4, Iran’s President Pezeshkian conveyed a message via social media to “the leaders of neighboring countries and friendly countries,” stating that Iran had tried to cooperate and avoid war through diplomatic means, but that “the aggression by the United States and Israel leaves us no choice but to defend ourselves.”
