UAE Launches Government Building Energy and Water Conservation Program

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates recently announced the launch of an energy-saving and water conservation program to improve the energy efficiency of government buildings in the UAE. The first phase will involve 60 buildings within the country, with plans for gradual expansion in the future. The Middle East has long had the saying that “water is more expensive than oil.” According to news from the UAE on the 24th, the first phase of the initiative was launched at the Abdullah bin Omran Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah, involving a total of 60 buildings nationwide, with a total investment of 120 million UAE dirhams (approximately 32.67 million USD).
