Lebanon revokes approval for the appointment of Iran's ambassador to Lebanon

Lebanon’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on the 24th that Lebanon revoked the approval it had granted for the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon and declared him an “unwelcome person,” requiring him to leave the country no later than March 29. On the same day, Lebanon’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs made the above remarks when it summoned Iran’s chargé d’affaires in Lebanon. In its statement, Lebanon’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Lebanon also recalled its ambassador to Iran for consultations, and that the above actions were taken based on Iran’s violation of the two countries’ diplomatic norms.
