The 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference Concludes with Multiple Major Scientific and Technological Achievements Unveiled

Economic Observer Network. According to CCTV Finance and Economics, the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum annual conference, which lasted five days, wrapped up today (the 29th). The 21 major scientific and technological achievements released in focus attracted widespread attention.

Among the 21 major scientific and technological achievements released this afternoon, five are related to people’s life and health, including: the first discovery of the core disease-causing functional circuit of Parkinson’s disease; a new path for precise drug delivery for brain diseases; and the country’s first shoulder joint replacement surgical robotic system, among other results.

It has already completed seven human implantations. The “surgical robot” achievement has enabled routine remote surgeries at Jishuitan Hospital, and it has already completed more than 1,500 remote orthopedic robotic surgeries.

As a highlight of the Zhongguancun Forum in past sessions, each major achievement release showcases China’s capability for scientific and technological innovation. This batch of achievements released this time has also reached an internationally leading level.

The reporter found that among the major scientific and technological achievements released this time, many are also related to AI, such as the open-source intelligent computing system Zhizhi FlagOS2.0 for diversified AI chips, and other achievements.
