On March 24, the China Securities Investment Fund Industry Association released data showing that in February 2026, there were 1,899 newly registered private equity funds with a new registration scale of 132.993 billion yuan. By the end of February, there were 140,300 existing private equity funds with a total scale of 22.6 trillion yuan. Specifically, there were 81,491 existing private securities investment funds with a scale of 7.35 trillion yuan; 29,898 existing private equity investment funds with a scale of 11.16 trillion yuan; and 28,119 existing venture capital funds with a scale of 3.8 trillion yuan.
