The Iranian military issued a statement today (March 29) condemning the drone attacks on the leaders of the Kurdistan Region in northern Iraq. The statement said, “The US-Israel alliance is undoubtedly a serious threat to global security and peace.” This alliance disregards international law and various international regulations, and the UN Security Council should fulfill its duties in addressing the threats to international peace and security posed by the ongoing terrorism and aggression from the US and Israel. The Iranian military stated that while condemning this aggressive act, it will firmly uphold Iran’s security and ensure regional safety. It is reported that the residences of the president and former president of the Kurdistan Region were attacked by drones on the 28th and 29th, with no reports of casualties and no organization claiming responsibility for the two attacks.
