Aligning with national major needs, Dongda's spring recruitment has a clear "hardcore" orientation
On March 28, Southeast University’s 2026 Spring “Talent for the Country” series of large-scale offline job fairs took place as scheduled, with over 570 high-quality employers on-site recruiting talent and more than 6,000 recent graduates attending the job search, setting a new record for the scale of the event.
“There has been a significant increase in enterprises from national strategic emerging industries such as new generation information technology, artificial intelligence, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, new energy, and biomedicine,” said Wang Lingyan, head of the Employment Guidance Center at Southeast University. She noted that the quality of participating companies this year is very high, particularly highlighting that some key national defense, state key laboratories, and central enterprises in critical fields also showcased, reflecting a precise alignment of national strategic needs with university talent cultivation.
It is reported that at this job fair, delegations from six cities, including Wuxi, Changzhou, Jiaxing, Hefei, Chuzhou, and Yangjiang, participated, providing a diverse and high-quality employment platform for graduates.
On-site reporters observed that the event closely followed major national needs, showcasing a clear “hardcore” orientation. Leading tech enterprises such as China Shipbuilding Group, Aviation Industry Corporation of China, China Electronics Technology Group, and China State Construction Engineering Corporation gathered to showcase their offerings, with exclusive exhibition areas divided by industry, precisely connecting with traditional advantageous disciplines at Southeast University such as electronic information, computer science, civil engineering, and transportation, as well as emerging interdisciplinary fields like artificial intelligence, future networks, and integrated circuits; institutions like Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, CITIC Securities, and Bank of Ningbo also concurrently provided a wealth of high-quality positions for graduates in sciences, medicine, and humanities and social sciences, achieving comprehensive coverage across all disciplines and fields.
According to reports, this event innovatively created a digital employment service model, launching the “Talent Express” program, which implements on-site customized job recommendation services. Students can sign in by scanning a QR code to enter their major, education level, and job preferences, after which the system automatically generates a personalized job list and provides real-time navigation to exhibition booths, breaking down information barriers through digital means and significantly enhancing job search efficiency, thus starting a new experience of efficient, precise, and personalized job seeking.
Alongside the job fair, the Career Experience Week also kicked off, featuring an innovative format of “park-style experience + realistic drills” with 10 interactive projects, attracting over 4,500 students to participate. The event broke the traditional single job-seeking attribute of recruitment, balancing career enlightenment for younger students with practical drills for older students, allowing career education to move from the classroom to real-life scenarios, helping students clarify their career visions and anchor their professional directions.
Reporters learned that Southeast University has held a total of 1,106 job presentations for the 2026 graduating class, including 82 online presentations, with over 180,000 job postings released. Key central enterprises and industry leaders, such as China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, Huawei, and ZTE, have successively entered the campus for talent recruitment, providing ample and high-quality job opportunities, thereby offering solid support for Southeast University students to engage in critical national fields and grow into capable talents for significant responsibilities.
