During the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference, under the annual theme of “Deep Integration of Technological Innovation and Industrial Innovation,” topics were set around global technology governance, fundamental research and technological frontiers, and innovation ecosystems, continuously creating 60 parallel forums, 21 of which are being held for the first time. At the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum on Innovative Development of Cross-Border Data Flow, Beijing officially released the Version 3.0 plan for cross-border data, transitioning from “compliance” to “convenience” and then to “comprehensive application.” It adheres to the highest standards, leads through reform, adopts a corporate perspective, empowers applications, and ensures safety and control. The plan proposes 27 innovative measures focusing on policy environment, safety supervision, and more, driven by the goal of releasing the value of data elements and enhancing network data governance capabilities. Beijing will continue to expand its international cooperation “circle of friends” and create a first-class cross-border business environment for data.

World Digital Health Forum Releases Multiple Achievements to Promote Global Medical Technology Collaborative Innovation

At the World Digital Health Forum, achievements such as the “Consensus of the International AI Hospital Network” and the “Tsinghua Urban Health Index” were officially released. Innovative medical technologies like spatial intelligent integrated imaging systems, AI hospital central hubs, and fully imaging-compatible surgical robots were showcased, demonstrating the latest progress in China’s core technologies and application scenarios in digital health. At the same time, international experiences and governance ideas were shared to provide references for promoting equitable and accessible digital health.

Global Dialogue on Cutting-Edge Technology Trends Discusses the Future of Artificial Intelligence

In a series of parallel forums, discussions such as “Insight into the Future” and “Fireside Chat” provided a space for deep reflection on cutting-edge technology topics in a relaxed dialogue format. Kevin Kelly, author of “What Technology Wants,” stated at the forum that in the face of opportunities and uncertainties brought by AI, we should better understand the fundamental rules of technological evolution. A truly vibrant technological ecosystem often arises from the collision of diverse entities and edge innovations. This also resonates with the open innovation atmosphere advocated by the Zhongguancun Forum—by exchanging and converging ideas from different fields, new imagination is continuously injected into the development of forefront technologies like artificial intelligence.

It is understood that this year’s Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference’s parallel forums are co-hosted by 30 international organizations and overseas institutions, with related activities continuing until March 29.
