According to the U.S. Treasury Department’s website of the Office of Foreign Assets Control, the U.S. Department of the Treasury has issued and amended new General Licenses related to Venezuela.

It authorizes negotiations and the signing of contingent contracts for certain investments. Such investments include those involving the Venezuelan government, the Venezuelan General Mining Company (Minerven), or any of its subsidiaries.

A Venezuela-related license has been issued, authorizing the sale and export of minerals originating in Venezuela (including gold).
