The United States allows the export and sale of certain minerals, including Venezuelan gold.
According to the U.S. Treasury Department’s website of the Office of Foreign Assets Control, the U.S. Department of the Treasury has issued and amended new General Licenses related to Venezuela.
It authorizes negotiations and the signing of contingent contracts for certain investments. Such investments include those involving the Venezuelan government, the Venezuelan General Mining Company (Minerven), or any of its subsidiaries.
