People’s Finance News, March 26 - The first industry standard in the field of embodied intelligence, jointly drafted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and over 40 organizations, was officially released today (March 26). This standard establishes a unified benchmark testing framework for the field of embodied intelligence, marking a new phase where embodied intelligence evaluation has “standards to follow.” It is understood that this standard focuses on key foundational technologies of artificial intelligence and methods for benchmark testing of embodied intelligence, while also clarifying the framework and capability requirements of embodied intelligence systems, set to be officially implemented on June 1, 2026. The standard regulates the benchmark testing framework, methods, and indicators for embodied intelligence systems in both simulated and real environments. The proposed evaluation system supports testing for foundational capabilities, cognitive reasoning abilities, and full-link closed-loop capabilities, covering four types of testing methods: static simulation testing, dynamic simulation testing, real environment testing, and combinatorial testing. Experts point out that to ensure the operability of the standard, a supporting testing task library, testing tools, and standard testing environment were simultaneously constructed during the standard formulation process. Currently, over 10,000 testing tasks have been established, covering 300 types of tasks in industries such as manufacturing, home, retail, and logistics. Testing tools have been developed for data collection and management, simulation task generation, and automated indicator calculation. (CCTV News)
