Greater Bay Area Brain Science Forum held in Guangzhou, focusing on cognitive disorders and brain-computer interface innovation

People’s Financial News, March 28 - The Fifth Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Brain Science Forum and the Guangzhou “Brain Science and Brain-like Research” Academic Salon were held in Guangzhou on the 28th. This forum focuses on core topics such as the prevention and treatment of cognitive disorders, early screening for rare diseases, and the clinical translation of brain-computer interfaces, and it announced a number of clinical and industrial innovation achievements. In response to the severe challenges posed by an aging population regarding the prevention and treatment of cognitive disorders, the Cognitive Disorder Medical Center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University was inaugurated during the forum. This center will promote the standardized development and clinical translation of new rehabilitation technologies such as transcranial magnetic stimulation, cognitive training, and virtual reality.
