Türkiye's Stock Market Opens Higher

(MENAFN) Türkiye’s main stock index commenced trading on Wednesday at 13,029.32 points, marking an increase of 0.77% or 99.16 points compared to the previous session’s closing level.

On Tuesday, the BIST 100 experienced a decline of 1.81%, finishing the day at 12,930.16 points, with a daily trading volume reaching 140 billion Turkish liras ($3.17 billion).

By 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), currency exchange rates were recorded at 44.3445 Turkish liras per US dollar, 51.5025 per euro, and 59.4125 per British pound.

Meanwhile, the cost of an ounce of gold stood at $4,547.75, while Brent crude oil was valued at $96.75 per barrel.
