【Caixin】 The open-source intelligent agent application framework “OpenClaw” has sparked a new wave of interest in the use of large models, and this wave is having a profound impact on AI research and development, competition among large models, and computing infrastructure. At the Zhongguancun Forum on March 27, Yang Zhilin, the founder of Dark Side of the Moon, hosted a discussion with Zhang Peng, CEO of Zhipu, Xia Lixue, co-founder of Wuwen Xinqiong, Luo Fuli, head of Xiaomi’s MiMo large model, and Huang Chao, assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong. They analyzed the progress of AI technology while looking ahead to the long-term impact of OpenClaw on technology and society.

Zhang Peng pointed out that today’s users’ demand for large models has shifted from simple chat dialogues to actually getting work done. However, behind “getting work done” lies a high demand for the model’s capabilities, requiring the model to independently perform long-term task planning and continuously debug, compress lengthy contextual information, and even handle multimodal data during execution.
