** 【Caixin Global】** On March 24, 2026, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled to seize two artworks that Zhang Lan won at Christie’s New York in 2014—Andy Warhol’s Little Electric Chair and an untitled self-portrait by Martin Kippenberger—for a total hammer price of $29.10 million.

In December 2013, La Dolce Vita Fine Dining and its holding company (together, the “CVC side”), controlled by the established European private equity firm CVC Capital, acquired 82.7% of the equity in the Qiaojiangnan dining restaurant chain from Zhang Lan and the entities it controlled for a consideration of approximately $286 million.
