This morning, reporters learned from the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum on Standardization and Technological Innovation Development that in the past five years, over 500 international standards have been led by organizations in Beijing, and more than 6,000 national standards have been established. Beijing holds the secretariat for 54 technical bodies of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO and IEC), ranking first in the country. In fields such as next-generation information technology and blockchain, 28 group standards have been first recognized and converted into recommended national standards.
