Spain refuses to support military action against Iran, US withdraws 10 US military refueling aircraft

According to a local report on March 2, the main station reporter learned that Spain refused to support U.S. military actions against Iran, and the United States withdrew 10 KC-135 refueling aircraft deployed at the Morón and Rota military bases in Spain. Spanish Defense Minister Roflès explicitly stated on March 2 that the country has not provided any military assistance to the U.S. for attacking Iran. The cooperation agreement between the U.S. and Spain “must operate within the framework of international law,” and the unilateral actions currently taking place have not received support from multilateral organizations such as the United Nations, NATO, or the European Union.
