Taishan City State-Owned Enterprises Integrate Regional Water Supply Resources
Two Major Water Utilities Complete Equity Transfer
Jiangmen Daily News (Reporter/Chen Sumin) — On February 25, Taishan Dawan Water Services Company signed an agreement with Taishan Longyuan Water Group to acquire 100% equity of its subsidiaries, Taishan Water Supply Company and Taishan Quansheng Municipal Engineering Company. This acquisition is a key step for Taishan’s state-owned enterprises to further integrate regional water supply resources, enhance large-scale operation, and improve professional service capabilities. It is of great significance for comprehensively improving Taishan’s water resource coordination and water supply service assurance.
Water utility and municipal services are the “lifeline” of city operation and a vital foundation for people’s livelihood. In recent years, Taishan has adhered to a people-centered development philosophy, focusing on the “Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Project” deployment. It has fully leveraged the role of state-owned assets and enterprises as the main force in promoting urban-rural water supply integration. The city has continuously deepened water rights reform, vigorously promoted key projects such as joint water supply in the Guangdong Bay area, the renovation of Taicheng Sewage Treatment Plant, and the southern water plant in Beidou Town. It has steadily advanced the integration of town-owned water plants, accelerated the construction of a safe, efficient, and sustainable urban-rural water supply and drainage system. Through professional operation and resource coordination by state-owned enterprises, the efficiency of water facilities and service levels have been effectively improved, providing solid support for Taishan’s full integration into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Taishan Water Supply Company has been rooted locally and serving people’s livelihood for over 60 years. Taishan Quansheng Municipal Engineering Company possesses solid qualifications and rich experience; both are indispensable forces in Taishan’s urban development. To further optimize water resource allocation and promote the strengthening, refinement, and expansion of state-owned enterprises, Taishan is pushing for strong alliances between local high-quality private enterprises and state-owned companies, facilitating this equity acquisition. Taishan Dawan Water Services Company will take this integration as an opportunity to uphold the responsibilities of a state-owned enterprise, gather development strength, continuously promote technological innovation and management upgrades, and comprehensively improve Taishan’s water resource utilization and water supply service capabilities, injecting continuous “water power” into Taishan’s high-quality development.
