"2025 China Business Environment Report Released: Nearly 90% of Companies Satisfied, Foreign Investment Firmly Optimistic About China's Market"

The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) recently released the “2025 China Business Environment Research Report,” which shows that surveyed companies rated China’s overall business environment at 4.39 out of 5, continuing to improve from the previous year. Nearly 90% of companies expressed “satisfaction.” This data reflects significant progress in optimizing China’s business environment and a growing sense of gain among enterprises.

The report is based on over 6,000 valid questionnaires nationwide and nearly 1,000 on-site surveys of enterprises. Among the 12 primary evaluation indicators, customs service environment, ease of business registration and exit, and social rule of law scored the highest. Data indicates that in 2025, nearly 70% of companies maintained stable or increased profits, over 70% of foreign trade companies saw stable or improved order volumes, and business operations are generally stable and improving.

A special survey of foreign-invested enterprises shows that these companies rated the business environment at 4.51 points, with 94.9% expressing satisfaction and 70.4% reporting stable profit growth. A CCPIT spokesperson stated that “industry market improvement” and “economic stabilization and recovery” are the main drivers of profit growth for foreign-invested companies, indicating that China’s market continues to be attractive.

Since 2016, CCPIT has been conducting annual surveys on the business environment. The latest report shows that indicators such as ease of business registration and exit, and social rule of law, have consistently ranked at the top for many years, reflecting ongoing reforms in these areas. The outstanding performance of the customs service environment highlights the deepening reform of customs clearance facilitation.
