In response to the recent voluntary recall of Nestlé infant formula due to the detection of Bacillus cereus vomit toxin, the Food Safety Office of the State Council and the State Administration for Market Regulation attach great importance. They have urged Nestlé (China) Co., Ltd. to complete the recall of specific batches of products sold in mainland China. As of now, no confirmed cases of Bacillus cereus vomit toxin poisoning from consuming infant formula have been reported in China.
