Urge Nestlé to complete the recall of specific batches; two departments deploy measures to strengthen quality and safety control of infant formula milk powder
In response to the recent voluntary recall of Nestlé infant formula due to the detection of Bacillus cereus vomit toxin, the Food Safety Office of the State Council and the State Administration for Market Regulation attach great importance. They have urged Nestlé (China) Co., Ltd. to complete the recall of specific batches of products sold in mainland China. As of now, no confirmed cases of Bacillus cereus vomit toxin poisoning from consuming infant formula have been reported in China. The State Administration for Market Regulation has deployed efforts across regions to strengthen the quality and safety control of infant formula, urging all manufacturers to conduct Bacillus cereus vomit toxin testing, strictly inspect raw materials, and ensure product quality before release, to fully guarantee the safety of infant formula.
