The Micro-Short Drama Working Committee of the China Internet Audio-Visual Association released a self-discipline convention on the 24th, advocating that all micro-short drama performers, employing units, crews, production organizations, filming bases, and broadcasting platforms agree on traceability and rights confirmation, pay wages on time and in full, prevent risks and ensure safety, strictly regulate child labor, and collaborate to serve and protect rights.
The “Self-Discipline Convention on Protecting the Legal Rights and Interests of Micro-Short Drama Industry Performers” proposes that before employment, both parties should negotiate and clarify work content, working hours, wage standards, payment cycles and methods, breach of contract responsibilities, and compensation; employers should pay performers their wages on time and in full as agreed.
For high-risk filming tasks such as fighting, explosions, diving, and high-altitude stunts (hanging wires), professional personnel must be arranged to supervise throughout the process; reasonable production schedules should be planned, avoiding overlong standby times and continuous work that exhausts performers, ensuring rest periods.
The convention emphasizes the need to effectively safeguard the rest, health, and educational rights of minors, especially young children actors, by strictly implementing a full-time guardian accompaniment mechanism. Shooting durations should be reasonably scheduled, avoiding overburdened work and scenes involving violence, horror, or emotional content beyond the child’s age comprehension, to protect the physical and mental health of child actors.
A relevant person from the Micro-Short Drama Working Committee of the China Internet Audio-Visual Association stated that the self-discipline convention aims to better safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of industry practitioners, regulate industry employment practices, and create a healthy and orderly industry ecosystem.
