The market only truly makes money for two types of people: one is the diamond hands with extremely high faith and loyalty, and the other is those at the top of the food chain who have access to firsthand information. The ones caught in the middle, wavering and unable to hold their positions, panic and cut losses when floating losses occur, then blindly hit the lever and enter gambling mode, which is the easiest way to lose money. This is also the market’s favorite prey. Even if the vast majority realize this level of understanding, they still cannot achieve unity of knowledge and action. This is the market’s biggest gamble on human nature. For the market makers and exchanges, they fear you overcoming human nature, fearing you won’t leverage.
For diamond hands, although they don’t have access to firsthand market information, they bet on the game not going to zero and the game not ending. As long as a wave of market movement occurs, they can recover their costs until they turn a profit.
So, for us, the hardest part of making money is waiting and giving up gambling tendencies. Under the premise of not blowing up the account within our capabilities, focusing on one direction for trading is the only way we can compete with the market—our only strategy and approach.
