At Lenovo Group’s FY2025/26 third quarter earnings conference, Lenovo Chairman and CEO Yang Yuanqing stated that currently, the proportion of training and inference computing needs is 7 to 3. In the future, it is expected to reach at least 2 to 8, meaning training demand will account for 20%. Achieving this requires the widespread and inclusive adoption of AI. Regarding the impact of rising prices of components such as memory and CPUs, Yang Yuanqing believes that the prices of PCs and mobile phones may increase accordingly, leading to a decrease in demand. “The sales volume of PCs in 2026 may stay flat or slightly decline, but due to the increase in average selling price, actual sales revenue will still grow.” (Ke Chuang Ban Daily)
