Under this deal, Archer will install and test Starlink’s low‑Earth‑orbit (LEO) satellite internet system on its Midnight air taxis.

Unlike traditional aircraft internet, which depends on ground towers or high‑orbit satellites, Starlink’s LEO network provides fast, low‑lag service even at low altitudes, making it well‑suited for air taxis flying around 1,500 feet in busy cities.

Trips on Midnight flights are expected to last 5 to 15 minutes, and Starlink aims to keep passengers connected the entire time.

Benefits Go Beyond WiFi

Beyond providing internet, Archer plans to use Starlink to support real‑time communication between pilots, the aircraft, and its ground-based engineering teams to boost safety and monitoring.

Also, Archer and Starlink plan to jointly develop connectivity solutions intended to support Archer’s future autonomous aircraft program.

Overall, the deal makes Starlink a core part of Archer’s long‑term vision for an AI‑enabled, highly connected air‑mobility network.

Global Expansion and FAA Milestones

The Starlink deal comes as Archer accelerates its global footprint. The company has expanded into international markets such as the UAE, where regulators and infrastructure partners are preparing for advanced air‑mobility services. At the same time, Archer is preparing for commercial launch in major U.S. cities such as New York and Miami.

Archer is also working closely with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as it moves toward final type certification for Midnight. The company continues to target 2025/2026 for launch, with ongoing flight testing, system validation, and safety reviews bringing it closer to that goal.

Is ACHR Stock a Good Buy?

Turning to Wall Street, ACHR stock has a Moderate Buy consensus rating based on two Buys and one Hold assigned in the last three months. At $11.50, the average Archer stock price target implies a 62.89% upside potential.
