Tech Home February 6 News, streaming music platform Spotify announced yesterday that it has partnered with Bookshop.org to enter the physical book sales market and launched an “industry-first” Page Match read-along synchronization feature, allowing users to seamlessly switch between physical books and audiobooks.

Citing an official press release, Tech Home reports that US and UK users will be able to purchase physical books through the Spotify app this spring, making it easier for readers to discover books of interest, read in their preferred way, and support local independent bookstores and authors with each purchase.

Page Match is a read-along synchronization feature that allows users to scan a book with their phone to seamlessly sync reading progress between the physical book and audiobook. When at home reading, users can continue listening in voice form if they need to go out driving or for a run.

This feature will be rolled out to iOS and Android users by the end of this month, supporting most English books, ensuring users can quickly locate and continue reading between physical books and audiobooks.
