A full year of trading has given me a deeper understanding of human fears and greed. The more I learn, the higher my standards become; there’s never enough to learn. [Taogu Ba]

Since the rotation period from the beginning of the year until now, I’ve fallen into a trading bottleneck. The turn of the year and some external factors have sparked a stronger desire to push further. Breaking through the limits of environment, themes, individual stocks, and aesthetics—understanding each fate’s arrangement—allows me to move the buy points earlier. Even if you haven’t entered a position, you must understand the logic behind this market cycle.

Human actions are driven by genetics. When facing the unknown, people tend to fall into two emotions:

Greed comes from the desire to acquire more, to improve survival.

Fear stems from threats to something that affects your survival.

Because you can’t understand it, you proceed cautiously. Because you’re ignorant, you don’t know where to buy or sell. But human nature often desires many things, leading to a cycle of repeated mistakes and sinking deeper into the quagmire.

If you want greed, the market will give you the fruits of greed. If you want to go astray for evil, the market will give you the consequences of evil, preventing you from crossing the boundary of trading, leading you to hype and frenzy. Your understanding of fate and individual stock aesthetics tests your grasp of some fundamental market principles—summarizing patterns, understanding “beauty” and “art.” Do you have the eye to discover beauty, to see others’ sunshine, uniqueness, and brilliance?

Whether it’s technical analysis, logical thinking, financial knowledge, or policy understanding, these can all be cultivated through practice and accumulation. But once the human heart goes astray, it’s very hard to correct. Teachers are great because they have a universe in their heart, insight into the essence of things, truthfulness, strategy, tactics, and step-by-step achievement of goals.

Thus, in the market, one can achieve what刺大 calls “having ideas in mind, no extremes in the heart, and operating naturally with divine skill.” Many things are urgent; the world turns, time presses. Ten thousand years is too long—only seize the day.
