National Development and Reform Commission and other three departments: Strengthen the full-chain management of unmanned aerial vehicles

The National Development and Reform Commission and two other departments issued implementation opinions to promote high-quality development of low-altitude insurance, which emphasizes strengthening full-chain management. For unmanned aerial vehicles that are legally required to be insured, efforts are being made to incorporate mandatory insurance requirements into the pre-approval process for flight activities and other management procedures. Insurance status checks will be strengthened during flight operation management, and in the event of an accident, “every case must be verified.” Research is underway to establish institutional regulations related to mandatory insurance, including responsible entities, responsibility determination, and disposal procedures.
