UniSat releases phase updates and upgrades, continuously building the Bitcoin ecosystem

On February 27, UniSat announced on social media that the team has noticed some recent changes in the Bitcoin ecosystem. For UniSat, the team’s direction remains clear—firmly supporting the development of the Bitcoin mainnet ecosystem, continuously investing in Ordinals, Runes, and BRC-20 infrastructure.

Building on ongoing regular product iterations, the team will soon implement the following phased adjustments and upgrades to products and services such as Market, UniHexa, single-step transfers, API, and FIP-101:

UniSat Marketplace: Temporarily Lowering Market Entry Barriers

Starting March 1, 2026, UniSat will implement a 90-day platform-wide fee waiver policy for its Ordinals and Runes trading markets, UniSat Marketplace (please note, this policy applies equally to Ordinals, Runes, and BRC-20 assets on the Bitcoin mainnet).

This adjustment aims to lower the barriers for users and creators to participate in trading and circulation on the Bitcoin mainnet, enhancing overall ecosystem activity.

During this period, the team will also monitor active addresses and real transaction data on the mainnet to optimize product structure and incentive mechanisms later.

UniHexa: Expanding Invitation Scope

UniSat announced that next week it will expand the invitation scope for UniHexa, the unified exchange service for inscriptions and runes on the BTC mainnet.

This round of invitations will cover 6 Bitcoin mainnet assets (including 3 Runes and 3 BRC-20 tokens), with some assets suggested by the community included in the list.

The goal of UniHexa is to provide a more efficient, clear, and composable asset exchange experience on the Bitcoin mainnet.

BRC-20: Single-Step Transfer Technical Discussion Coming Soon

UniSat mentioned that it will soon share more technical details regarding the implementation of BRC-20 single-step transfers on the Bitcoin mainnet, including proposed modifications and optimizations from the UniSat engineering team for specific scenarios.

The team believes there is still significant room for improvement in BRC-20 infrastructure.

These discussions will remain open and transparent, welcoming constructive feedback from developers.

For Developers: UniSat API Upgrade

As part of infrastructure development, UniSat will soon upgrade the UniSat API to build a full-featured MCP that provides enterprise-grade on-chain Bitcoin data, transforming it into a more agent-friendly interface for on-chain data operations.

The team hopes to:

• Lower the barrier for developers to build Bitcoin applications

• Support more automated and agent-driven use cases

Long-term development of the Bitcoin ecosystem depends on continuous developer participation.

Long-term Participation in Fractal Standard Data Indexing Service

UniSat announced it will acquire FB from the open market in phases to participate in the upcoming Fractal indexing mining mechanism starting in Q2.

The initial acquisition will be no less than 500,000 FB, with deployment to begin and complete within 15 days. These FB will be used for long-term index staking participation. The goal is to maintain a stable influence share in subsequent index staking.

The staking rewards generated will be fully used to reward active participants in the UniSat product ecosystem, such as active traders on UniSat Marketplace and early users of UniHexa.

The core of this arrangement is not short-term incentives but continuous reinvestment of platform revenue into the ecosystem cycle.

UniSat stated it will continue building, aiming to further enhance security, openness, and transparency, creating better Bitcoin products for users.
