Federal Reserve Chair Successor Odds Significantly Adjusted – Latest Betting Odds Overview
Source: CryptoNewsNet Original Title: The Odds on Who Will Be the Next Fed Chair Have Turned Upside Down – Here Are the Current Odds Original Link:
Fed Chair Successor Probabilities Updated
The term of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell will end in May, and the successor remains uncertain.
As the market eagerly awaits President Trump’s new nomination for Fed Chair, the probability ratios formed in the prediction market Polymarket provide an important reference for investor expectations.
According to Polymarket data, the strongest contender currently is Kevin Warsh, with a 45% probability. Although his support has decreased compared to a few days ago, he still leads.
Following him is Rick Rieder, with a probability in the 31-32% range. As an executive at BlackRock, Rieder’s odds have recently increased, indicating market expectations that a Wall Street figure closely connected to the financial markets may become Fed Chair.
Current Federal Reserve Board member Christopher Waller ranks third in Polymarket, with a 13% probability.
Kevin Hassett, known for his close ties to Trump, currently has a 6% probability. Hassett previously served as Chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, and his support has declined after Trump expressed a desire for him to remain in his current position.
On the other hand, the probability of U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent being reappointed is only 3%.
