Oh no, hello newcomer. I've been in the crypto world for a few years, getting scraped and bruised, losing a lot of money, and also making some small gains. Come, come, let me tell you slowly. These are all the pitfalls I've personally stepped into, to help you avoid detours. Remember, the crypto world is very deep, making money depends on luck, losing money depends on skill.

Don't rush to invest money yet; you need to learn the basics. Understand what blockchain, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and these fundamental concepts are. Read the whitepapers of projects, check if the team and community are active. Don't just watch hype videos on TikTok or Twitter; those are mostly marketing tricks to deceive people. Start with CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko to learn about market cap, circulating supply, and so on. Don't believe in phrases like "the next Bitcoin"; most projects are just air coins.
Only invest with spare money, never borrow money to play this. I've seen too many newcomers borrow, sell their houses, go all-in, and when the market crashes, they can't even cry. The crypto world is a casino, not a bank. Remember, only invest what you can afford to lose. Don't touch living expenses, mortgage payments, and so on. Treat investing like playing the lottery—happy when you win, and consider losses as tuition fees.
