Don't remind me again today

Good point worth clarifying. Those reserves get burned through revenue conversion—not exactly locked away forever. Sure, it's a deflationary mechanism at work, but there's a real difference between burning tokens via protocol revenue and just locking them permanently. One actively reduces supply based on platform activity, the other just freezes tokens indefinitely. Mechanism matters when you're evaluating tokenomics.

Burning coins and locking coins really can't be confused with each other; this guy understands it quite well.

Ah, finally someone has explained it clearly. Active burning and deadlock are completely different things; the on-chain data speaks for itself.

yeah but let's be real - most devs still can't tell the difference between actual deflationary mechanics and just locking tokens in a vault. governance attack vectors waiting to happen honestly.

It's true that burning and locking are not the same thing; a supply reduction driven by activity is what is called smart design.
