The most terrifying cities in the world where life hangs by a thread (2023)

I stumbled upon a ranking of the most dangerous cities yesterday and, to be honest, I was taken aback. I live peacefully in my neighborhood, while somewhere people risk their lives every day just going out for bread!

Caracas tops the list - no surprise! A friend returned from there in shock: "They shoot on the streets like in a computer game, only there is no reload." Venezuela has turned into a bloody carnival.

South Africa has taken several positions in the top: Pretoria, Durban, Johannesburg... My friend, who has been there, told me how drivers at traffic lights run the red signal at night — stopping can cost you your life!

Brazil also "distinguished" itself — four cities in a row: Rio, Salvador, Fortaleza, and Recife. It feels like behind the beautiful beaches lies a jungle of lawlessness!

It's funny that the USA also made the list — Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago... And they say everything is perfect there! Apparently, the American dream has turned into an American nightmare for many neighborhoods.

And Moscow is only in 229th place - far from the top. Although, who knows how objective this statistic is... There will always be those who manipulate the numbers to their advantage.

I noticed that almost all of these dangerous cities are in countries with huge social stratification and corruption. Maybe the authorities should think about why their cities are turning into war zones?

Tokyo and Singapore at the very end — apparently, you can walk around even at night with your wallet in hand. Well, I know where I will go for my next vacation!
