SAP CEO Christian Klein has opposed the view that Europe needs to build more data centers with powerful chips to catch up with the world. In a press conference, he questioned the necessity of building five large data centers. He criticized Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who stated that Europe is falling behind in the field of artificial intelligence due to a lack of computing power.

Klein believes that Europe's strength lies in its industrial base, not in competing with American tech companies. He recommends that Europe should focus on developing smart AI applications for its core industries. SAP currently wants to play the role of a technology provider rather than participating in huge AI projects.
