The Federal Bailiff Service of the Russian Federation develops a new mechanism for disposing of seized Bitcoin.

According to the Gate.io News bot, as reported by cryptonews, the Federal Bailiff Service of the Russian Federation (FSSP) has announced the development of a new mechanism to convert seized Bitcoin in criminal cases into state revenue. This mechanism is based on the handling experience of the bribery case involving former investigator Marat Tembiev. In this case, law enforcement successfully confiscated approximately 1,032 BTC and transferred them to the Ministry of Finance.

The FSSP plans to sell part of the seized cryptocurrency assets to supplement the national treasury. At the same time, the agency has proposed to the legislative body to clarify the legal status of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin in order to establish a systematic mechanism for the disposal of cryptocurrency assets.
